God’s Grace When Facing Great Trials and Loss

Loss is an inevitable part of life in a fallen world. Some lose their jobs or their wealth in a bad economy. Many experience a significant loss of health. Some lose family members through a tragic and unexpected death. Others lose a spouse through the heartbreak of divorce or a child through rebellion. Many of us lose the fulfillment of our dreams when life doesn’t work out as planned. No passage in Scripture better equips the believer to deal with such trials than James 1. The author teaches us how God works through our losses to make us more like Christ. As we understand and submit to what the Lord is doing, we find meaning in our great trials and losses and are enabled not only to endure, but also to triumph.
