When grief is fresh, people often seek help. Yet counselors and ministry leaders often feel under-equipped to compassionately and effectively minister in these situations. This breakout will provide an overview of relevant factors that come into play in a person's experience of grief. It will identify some important principles to keep in mind when helping a grieving person. It will describe practical skills for effective face-to-face ministry with those who grieve.
