Urban Missions: The urban poor experience loss daily. They are also a largely unreached people group in this country. Godly men and women from the majority culture have put themselves into these contexts to reach them for generations. But today there are vibrant urban church leaders in the cities and in our prisons. They lack no passion to serve, but do often lack training in the Word. It’s estimated that 70%-80% of urban church pastors have NO or very little training. Your church can address this need and help equip an army of passionate men and women “to keep their head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and discharge all the duties of their ministry” (2 Tim 4:5).
