Presented byPaul Miller
Prayer has always been a hallmark of the church. The Apostle Paul calls the church to be "faithful in prayer" and to "pray without ceasing." Yet we often struggle to pray, whether we are alone, with others, or in our own churches. How can we grow in being a church who is marked by prayer? Reflecting on Solomon's dedication of the temple as a "house of prayer," and on Christ as our great High Priest whose mediation now gives us direct access to the Father, this session will discuss practical ways we can grow together as a praying community.
This session will include a presentation by Paul Miller, followed by a conversation between Paul and Mike Emlet.

Interested in hearing more from Paul Miller about the importance of prayer? Prayer, teaching on prayer, and prayer requests make up about 15 percent of Paul’s epistles. Paul Miller will lead a session that looks at the structure of some of Paul’s prayers, how his theology informs his prayers, and how our hearts can be stirred with a new passion for engaging the living God in prayer.
