Keynote Address & Welcome

In this welcome address, John Bettler uses John 3:19–21 as he explores how our hearts respond amid pain and suffering. When we experience hardship, our hearts are especially prone to gravitate toward darkness rather than the light. While we seek the light for our pain, we also resist it because of our idolatrous heart tendencies. How do we face this problem? Bettler offers three ways to respond and a way forward in the face of suffering.
