Add to cartDepression raises important questions about suffering, faith, temptation, and spiritual maturity. How can we “count it all joy” while honestly casting real and weighty cares on God? How do we honor the God-given capacity to feel deep sorrow without assuming every painful emotion is sinful? At the same time, how do we compassionately recognize the ways suffering can expose fears or unbelief? In this session, we will explore how depression can become a context for drawing near to God, growing in faith and compassion, and pursuing maturity—even when the darkness does not quickly lift.
