Counsel the Word

In this editorial, David Powlison discusses the importance of counseling the Word in addition to preaching the Word. Powlison discusses the goal of The Journal of Biblical Counseling: to equip people to apply the Word of God in counseling. He identifies two groups of people that seek to undermine the goal of counseling the Word. Powlison concludes that counseling the Word and applying the Word wisely take the work of a lifetime.
