Jeffrey S. Black
Journal of Biblical Counseling 13:3
In this article, Jeffrey Black discusses the pattern of immorality that involves two aspects: cheating and drifting. Black maintains that sexuality is intended to express the fulfillment of relational intimacy and trust. Immorality cheats by seeking to experience sexual gratification without intimacy. Immorality also expresses a pattern of “drifting”; there’s a history to it. Black concludes that the solution to immorality is not a matter of dealing with our drives but of sanctifying our hearts.
