Obsessions and Compulsions: Breaking Free of the Tyranny

Journal of Biblical Counseling 22:2

In this article, Mike Emlet examines the diagnosis of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and argues that it encompasses a family of problems. Emlet analyzes the dynamics of both problem and solution using a biblical perspective. He concludes that counselors must approach a person struggling with OCD as both sufferer and sinner and speak the truth and hope of the gospel in love.
