Counseling and the Doctrine of Sin

In this guest editorial, John Bettler argues that 1 Timothy 1:15 gives us three “pegs” on which to hang our understanding of ministry. First, God operates according to a purpose: to save sinners. Second, He accomplishes this in a particular way: Christ Jesus came into the world. Third, he tells us how we enter into it, through accurate self-knowledge as a sinner, and intelligent repentance and faith.
