Dear friends,
During my time as CCEF’s Interim Executive Director, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the labor of love that goes into creating, developing, and sharing biblically faithful and wise resources for the local church. Today, I invite you to make a donation and take part in this meaningful mission of restoring Christ to counseling and counseling to the church.
Recently, as I studied the apostle Paul in preparation for our national conference, I was reminded of his words in Galatians 6:9: “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
That image of sowing and reaping brought to mind a simple practice in my own life: reseeding my lawn each fall. If you’ve ever done this, you know the process—small plugs of soil are pulled up, the ground is seeded and fertilized, and then . . . you wait. For months, nothing seems to happen. But come spring, new life appears. The bare patches fill in, and fresh growth spreads all over.
Your generosity to CCEF works much the same way. Your year-end gift plants seeds that God uses to bring new life and lasting fruit. Each contribution is stewarded to equip the church with resources that help people find lasting hope and change in Christ. Whether faculty travel to France, China, and Mexico to equip the global church in person; publish new resources like When It’s Trauma, Fear Is Not a Sin, or Helping Your Children with Change; or develop a new teaching series on abuse care, it’s our greatest desire to see the Lord use this ministry to encourage his church—ordinary work with eternal consequence.
As this year comes to a close, would you prayerfully consider making a gift to CCEF? Your partnership ensures the continuation of sowing seeds of wisdom, compassion, and biblical truth, as we trust the Lord to bring about a harvest in his perfect time.
With gratitude and hopefulness,
Jonathan D. Holmes
CCEF Interim Executive Director
P. S. Our faculty are already praying and planning for next year’s resources—new writing projects, more speaking events, and further training materials. Would you partner with us in these efforts by giving to CCEF today?
