When we bring the hope of the gospel to suffering people, it is important to do this not only in word but in deed. The gospel embodies a theology that is lived out in practical ministry within the local church and community. This workshop will help you structure your entire church to be a community of care for the hurting, and mobilize your diaconate for effective ministry to people in need.

In the first of this four-part talk, Jeff White describes how our beliefs about the future radically impact how we live here and now. In Scripture, God lets us know how it’s all going to end and, as Christians, we are to give a foretaste of heaven to the world around us. White gives practical ways to do this and considers the future we are promised, when it will dawn, and what the implications are for us now.
