Out of Control: Understanding Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety, fear, panic, phobias, stress—even the words create…anxiety. How are we to understand, and what are we to do, as we help people struggling with anxiety disorders? In this session, we’ll explore the biblical anatomy of anxiety—a creation, fall, redemption, and consummation perspective. Building upon this comprehensive descriptive assessment we’ll ponder God’s prescription for victory in anxiety. Understanding the heart causes for anxiety leads to Christ-like caring and biblical prescriptions. This robust approach is the remedy for “take two verses and call me in the morning.” The session will include a case study modeling the use of robust, relational, spiritual conversations.
