Journal of Biblical Counseling
The Journal of Biblical Counseling is published three times a year in April, August, and December.
Individuals may purchase a digital subscription or a print one. Institutions may only subscribe to the print version. However, an online searchable version, including all back issues, is available to institutions through the American Theological Library Association's ATLAS PLUS product available through EBSCOhost.
All subscriptions are for one year and include the three issues produced during that period. By purchasing a subscription to the Journal of Biblical Counseling, you agree to an initial payment for one full year of content. This subscription renews automatically, so after one year and annually thereafter, you will be billed the annual subscription renewal fee at the then current rate. You may cancel your subscription at any time subject to the terms of our cancellation policy.
Subscriptions are activated on the date of purchase and renew one year from the activation date.
Payment for the subscription can only be made via credit card through our website. We accept all major credit cards.
Academic institutions and libraries are encouraged to subscribe through a print subscription management service such as EBSCO.
All subscription types are nonrefundable. This means you are free to cancel your subscription at any time, but partial refunds will not be issued. Cancellations can be made directly through your CCEF user account. To cancel your subscription:
Log in to your CCEF user account
Navigate to your JBC subscription tab
Click "view" next to your current subscription
Where it says "Auto renew," click the green button (it should change color to gray when it is canceled)
Once your subscription is canceled, you will not receive any new issues of the journal, however, you will retain access to the JBC Archive until your original subscription date ends.
You may also cancel your subscription by contacting us at customerservice@ccef.org.
All subscription types are nontransferrable.
When a print subscription is placed, all shipping takes place through our printing company on the schedule outlined in the Publication Schedule section above. Subscribers will be notified via email when their issues are in the mail. Unfortunately, tracking information is not available. Subscriptions purchased after a release date will receive their first issue at the next release date (for example, if you subscribe in May, you can expect your first issue in August). If your issue does not arrive within 30 days of shipping from our printing company, we are happy to send a replacement copy. Replacement copies will be sent no more than two times on a given subscription. If issues continue to go missing, the print subscription will be discontinued and we will offer a refund. In these cases, a digital subscription is advised.
For additional information, please see our Shipping & Returns Policy page.
If subscription rates change, current subscribers will be notified via the email associated with their subscription. The notice will communicate the upcoming price changes and give subscribers the option to cancel their subscription should they wish to discontinue it. If no action is taken, the subscription will be renewed at the new rate on the annual renewal date.
