Anger Against God

Journal of Biblical Counseling 14:3

In this article, Robert Jones addresses the contemporary Christian psychological idea that it’s okay to be angry at God. Jones maintains that it fails to distinguish between unbelief’s anger against God and faith’s honest cries of agony. It is always wrong to hold anger at God, and Scripture gives many examples of the dynamics and interpretation of such anger. Jones concludes that it is always right to bring your doubts and questions to God in a holy and humble way, out of a heart of fundamental faith. He maintains that faith can lament in the midst of suffering.
