In this audio talk, Joni Eareckson Tada considers the Lord’s role in our hardship and suffering. She shares of her own wrestling with difficult questions after a life-altering diving accident at seventeen years old. Tada shares that “God permits what he hates to accomplish that which he loves.” Steve Estes, who was instrumental in Tada’s journey, then shares about engaging those suffering. He uses Philippians 3:8–11, and discusses how our sufferings turn into the doorway for Jesus’ resurrection life and power. Giving a picture of a life transformed by these truths, Wendy Budnick shares her testimony at the end of this session.
