All Is Lost

All is Lost. The final words in the first hard conversation ever recorded are, “You are dust, and to dust you shall return.” Loss is the one sure thing in life—and the Bible never lets us forget it. Every good word that God says and every good thing that he does occurs against this backdrop, because what you lose makes you need what he gives. Wise ministry reckons well with losses, and thus can reckon very well with the mercies of God.
