Dependence in the Wilderness: Living Out of Psalm 63

In this article, Jeff Newman examines Psalm 63 and argues that the Psalm shows us how David finds life and hope as a fugitive in the desert. Newman connects these words of David to the words of Jesus in his response to troubles and temptations. Newman guides the reader through this Psalm as well as the Christ’s example in order to help the reader make personal application of this Psalm in their lives. Newman concludes by providing a “Psalm 63 Journal” template to help with personal application.
