Ed Welch
Journal of Biblical Counseling 13:3
In this article, Ed Welch addresses contemporary homosexuality debates and develops a strategy to reach out to homosexuals to urge repentance, faith, and obedience in Christ. Welch encourages the reader to challenge the issue of supposed biological causes and the notion that homosexuality arises because of relational deficits with the same-sex parent. Welch concludes that, like all sin, homosexuality, at the level of the desires of the heart, does not relent easily or quickly. It is put to death over time in the course of progressive sanctification. Responses to this article are presented in “Letter to the Editor” in JBC 14:3.
