Biblical View of Man: The Basis for Nouthetic Confrontation

Journal of Biblical Counseling 3:1

In this article, Ed Hindson examines how a biblical anthropology undergirds the philosophical approach of nouthetic counseling. Hindson works through aspects of man as created, fallen and redeemed and explores how those realities shape counseling practice. Hindson then moves into a discussion of redeemed man as being responsible to God and characterized by love, forgiveness, confession, repentance and faith. Ultimately, redeemed man is called to be a disciple of the Lord. Hindson concludes the article with a discussion of what that discipleship looks like in the life of a believer.
