In our fallen world, there is no end of things to fear (terrorism, biological hazards, and identity theft, to name a few). Such dangers grab our attention, but what goes unnoticed are the effects on our faith as we pursue culturally acceptable means of protecting ourselves. In this audio talk, Bill Smith argues that we learn to be too concerned with things not all that dangerous and not concerned about real threats to our lives. Smith maintains that society simultaneously offers us inadequate solutions to our fears. He concludes true peace comes from a Person, not guidelines or strategies.
