It is hard to live in community, and our individualistic culture and self-focus make it more difficult. How can the church make the kingdom of God visible under these circumstances? This workshop will explore how humility, gentleness, and forgiveness can transform God’s people to incarnate Christ to a watching world.
In the second of a three-part talk, Tim Lane argues that wisdom is fostered in godly relationships. He discusses the first two of four gospel virtues needed for fostering redemptive friendships: forgiveness and resolving conflict. Lane explores the practice of forgiveness and barriers to forgiving others. He draws on James 4 to offer insight into conflict, and encourages us to see conflict not as a threat but as a ministry opportunity.
