In this article, Elyse Fitzpatrick evaluates the current state of Christian publishing aimed at Christian women. Fitzpatrick argues that the industry is significantly about, by, and for women, selling what women want to read (or, at least, what women seem willing to buy). Fitzpatrick includes comments on such books as “The Power of a Praying Wife” by Stormie Omartian; “Bad Girls of the Bible” by Liz Curtis Higgs; and fiction titles “The Birthright” by Janette Oke and T.
