The Tennessee Self-Concept Scale as Applied to Three High School Students

Journal of Biblical Counseling 8:4

In this article, Richard Heckman examines the use of The Tennessee Self-Concept Scale (TSCS) as a widely used objective test designed to reveal how a person evaluates himself/herself in certain key areas. Heckman notes that the scale does not judge these findings but simply reveals how a person sees himself. For this reason, many biblical counselors have found it useful in the counseling process. Heckman offers examples for how one Christian school used the scale with its students.
