Scripture and the Apologetic Task

Journal of Biblical Counseling 13:2

In this article, John Frame discusses apologetics and the nature of revelation. God’s special revelation corrects misinterpretations of God’s natural revelation, so that we “view creation in the light of Scripture,” and engage in constructive conversation with unbelievers about real persons in real situation. Frame identifies sins that can hinder the apologetic task: compromise, underestimation of sin, pride and lovelessness. He concludes his article with a discussion of the importance of speaking truth in love when doing apologetics.
