In this editorial, David Powlison maintains that prayer is multi-faceted. One form of prayer asks for change in the circumstances of sick persons. But two other strands of prayer ask God to changes us by deepening our faith and to change everything by revealing Himself more fully in our lives, regardless of the circumstances. Powlison concludes that when we pray through these three strands, our prayers change.
