In this article, Skip Ryan presents a sermon from Ephesians 5:23-30. Ryan looks at the basis of Paul’s discussion of marriage as reflecting the relationship Jesus has to the church. He argues that Jesus changes us by loving us through a love that is undeserved, sacrificial, saving and sanctifying. Ryan concludes that Christ gave you the dying affection of His heart in order that you would give Him the living affection of your heart.
