In this article, Jay Adams argues that, contrary to the view that life’s pressures create serious problems of depression, breakdown and burn-out, Paul in 2 Corinthians teaches and models the way to handle pressure. Adams identifies two key steps: (1) Sort out whether the person has an accurate understanding of his or her responsibilities and (2) Persevere in God’s calling out of grateful devotion to God for His tender mercies.
