Though condolences, messages of hope, and other blessings are rightfully directed to the family of someone who passes away, they may not be the only ones experiencing deep loss. If you were a close friend of the deceased, you may feel the loss even more acutely, and yet you might be left to mourn alone. But Jesus sees you—and he understands your heartache—because he, too, has been a friend of the deceased.
