In this article, Orville Evans examines the theory of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross and her commonly referred to “five stages of grief.” Evans evaluates the process of grief from a biblical standpoint and offers a Christian alternative. He concludes his article with counseling implications and a discussion of the vertical and horizontal aspects of grief.
