summary

CCEF’s mission of restoring Christ to counseling and counseling to the church is made possible by our generous and committed ministry partners, and it’s a joy to partner with God’s people to serve his church. The Donor Relations Specialist is responsible for maintaining and cultivating relationships with 150 major donors, providing them with giving opportunities that further CCEF’s mission and align with their interests and passions, and reporting back to our donors about the impact they’re making.

responsibilities

  • Maintain a portfolio of approximately 150 donors who have an interest in maintaining a relationship with the ministry.
  • Develop relationships with these donors and learn about their passions and interests. Create thoughtful, strategic goals and communication plans that engage donors and take into account their ministry interests. Communication methods include phone, email, mail, video calls, in-person meetings, and development of print and digital resources.
  • Have a deep understanding of CCEF’s history, current status, and vision for the future.  Translate this understanding into a compelling message that inspires donors to participate in the ministry. Identify ways for donors to give that are tailored to their specific passion for restoring Christ to counseling and counseling to the church.
  • Report back to donors about the impact they’ve made and offer valuable insight into ministry happenings and the fruit of their partnership. Maintain ongoing relationships with donors in a way that affirms their valued partnership with the organization. 
  • Involve other donor relations staff and other departments as opportunities arise.
  • Travel 2–5 times a year to represent the ministry at donor events, in-person meetings, the national conference, and exhibiting trips.
  • Support institutional fundraising efforts with insights from donor relationships and with other fundraising initiatives as they arise.

qualifications

  • Agreement and support of CCEF’s mission and core beliefs; experience with CCEF’s materials preferred
  • Ability to passionately and persuasively articulate CCEF’s mission to restore Christ to counseling and counseling to the church
  • Relevant experience in cultivating relationships with colleagues; adept at contributing to a supportive, team-oriented work environment
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and discipline, with strong planning, organizational, and self-management skills
  • Willingness to engage in candid and constructive conversations about performance evaluation and identify opportunities for growth
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates tact, discretion, and care in all communications; possesses a high comfort level with maintaining confidential information
  • Demonstrated success in major gift cultivation and solicitation preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Oversee employee benefits administration, payroll processing, and HR compliance systems to ensure legal alignment and a positive employee experience.

general responsibilities

  • Process bimonthly payroll through ADP
  • Coordinate timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage enrollments, renewals, and employee questions across health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
  • Handle maternity leave, short-term disability, and related employee life events
  • Maintain compliance with state/federal employment laws (EEOC, FLSA, ACA)
  • Conduct annual safety training
  • Partner with the Leadership Team to oversee salary and benefits budgeting
  • Recommend policy or benefit adjustments based on trends or regulations
  • Complete other HR or administrative tasks as assigned by the Executive Director

qualifications

  • Experience in running employee payroll and tax filings
