Should We Identify Our Spiritual Gifts?

Journal of Biblical Counseling 4:2

In this article, James Johnson argues that the Bible calls us to evaluate our role within the church, not necessarily our spiritual gifts. He maintains that spiritual gifts are given to help us execute our role, but that an effort to evaluate the individual gifts is not warranted. He concludes by arguing that we should not emphasize the identification of our spiritual gifts any more than the Bible itself does.
