Counseling Internship Application
We’re excited to launch the CCEF counseling internship in 2025! For the last year, we have been crafting this internship with the hope of further bringing the treasures of Scripture to bear on the troubles of life.
The CCEF internship is a year-long program designed to give significant biblical counseling experience through highly engaged supervision and in-depth training. It is for students who have demonstrated an aptitude for, and completed coursework in, CCEF’s model of biblical counseling. Each intern will have a weekly counseling caseload, with some cases coming through CCEF directly and some, in the interest of “restoring counseling to the church,” through their local church.
Please note: This is a no fee and non-paid internship. Both on-site and remote applicants will be considered (remote interns will still be required to be on-site for two weeks of training during the internship). There are limited spaces for this opportunity. Applications and references must be received no later than November 1, 2024 for the 2025 internship.
We have already begun praying for this class and invite you to join as well. If you have any questions that aren't covered in the overview and responsibilities document below, please email internship@ccef.org.
Application Process
To apply for the internship, read the Overview & Responsibilities document here, and then submit the application form below. Applications must be submitted no later than November 1, 2024. Before you begin the application, please note that the following documents must also be uploaded at the end of the application form to be considered for the CCEF internship:
- A current picture of the applicant.
- Electronic or scanned copy of academic transcript through the winter term of the academic year during which application is being made. “Unofficial” transcripts are acceptable.
- Electronic copy of your CCEF transcript (Course Completion Record) for any courses that do not appear on the academic transcript; this can be requested through our website here.
- Two letters of recommendation, (1) from a pastor/elder/leader in your church who can speak to both your character and gifting for personal ministry, and (2) from your spouse (if you are married) or a close friend (if you are single) who will speak to your character and suitability for the internship. If you have one-on-one counseling experience in a context outside your church, please include a third letter of recommendation from your supervisor. See the application for further details.
