Course Description
In this course students will be given the opportunity to practice biblical counseling and apply the concepts they have been learning in the CCEF certificate program to real-life situations and case studies. Throughout the course, students will engage in a counseling relationship while receiving support and feedback from fellow students and CCEF faculty.
In this course, it is assumed that students will be implementing and building upon some of the core concepts they have learned throughout the rest of the program. For this reason, it is required that students have completed the Foundations of Biblical Counseling certificate.
Objectives:
- Gain experience moving self-consciously from biblical counseling theory to practice
- Deepen ability to assess the dynamics of a counseling relationship and to enter relationally into the counselee’s world
- Expand flexibility in biblical counseling methods
- Utilize case review in community
