What does the registration fee cover?
The conference registration fee includes entrance to 8 plenary sessions, 5 of 20 workshops, worship, and selected special events.
Are travel, lodging, or meals included in the conference registration?
Travel, lodging, and meals are not included in the conference ticket price.
Is the pre-conference day included conference registration?
No, pre-conference (Thursday before the conference) is a separate ticked event. Pre-conference registration is now open. Register here.
Do you offer discounts for groups?
Yes, we offer group discounts. Any group of eight or more can register together for $25 off the current rate per person. There are two ways to register a group:
- All eight guests must register together (one person registers all eight + others) with full names and contact information.
- Email [email protected] for a group discount code which allows each person to register individually.
Are there discounts for students? How are “students” defined?
Yes, there is a flat rate available for students throughout the registration process ($150). Students must be enrolled in a degree program full-time to qualify. Student discounts cannot be combined with other discount offers (groups, etc.).
Are there discounts for military?
Yes, there is a flat rate available for active military personnel throughout the registration process ($150). Military discounts cannot be combined with other discount offers (groups, etc.).
Can I purchase one ticket and split it with my friend or family member?
Each ticket is valid for one individual only. We cannot accommodate sharing the ticket with a friend or family member.
Is transportation available to and from the airport?
Orange Peel Transportation is offering shuttle service for $50 per person round trip from the Norfolk airport. Reservations can be made here. Take advantage of the discount by entering the group code: CCEF. Note: To arrange your return trip, please enter your desired return date, time, and hotel location in the comments section. Return shuttles will be offered on the hour.
Do you have forum where I can find carpool, room sharing information, etc.?
No, we cannot share attendees’ private registration information.
Can I stay at a hotel other than the ones listed on the website?
Yes. There are a number of other hotels in the VA Beach area. However, the listed hotels offer special conference room-block pricing. Complimentary shuttle service to and from the convention center will only be provided at hotels listed on the conference website.
What does a typical conference day include?
A typical conference day includes three general sessions (worship and a plenary session) and two sets of workshop options (shorter talks that include discussion and Q&A). There is plenty of time over meals for connecting and networking with old and new friends.
Will session or day passes be made available?
Our conference is designed to be a cohesive event, and sessions build upon each other. For this reason, one-day passes are not offered in advance. If space remains once the conference has begun, one-day passes would only be made available on site as a walk-in registration option.
Do I need to register for plenary or breakout sessions individually?
No, plenary sessions have plenty of seating for all guests. For breakout sessions, seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Is the conference wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the conference is wheelchair accessible.
Can I bring children to the conference?
Sessions are not geared toward children, but they are welcome to attend. If your child requires seating, however, he/she must be registered.
Do you offer childcare at the event?
No, childcare is not provided at the national conference.
Is reserved seating available?
Reserved seating is not available. We respectfully ask you to refrain from saving seats between sessions.

Can I be a speaker or promote something at your conference?
We follow a specific planning process for each year’s conference. Therefore, we do not accept speaker or promotional proposals. Thank you for understanding.
Do you offer CEUs at your conferences?
CEU information will be posted later this year.
I registered for the conference, but now I cannot attend. What are my options?
- Donate your registration fee to CCEF.
- Request a refund by emailing [email protected]. There is a $40 administrative fee for each registration. Refunds will only be accepted until Friday, September 28, after which no refunds will be given.
- Substitutions are permitted as long as you provide all registration information for the guest to whom you’re transferring your ticket. Substitutions can be made through the Event Brite platform directly or by contacting [email protected].
Please note: You cannot transfer or sell your registration to an attendee you do not know.
Will the sessions be live-streamed?
Yes, all plenary sessions and worship will be live-streamed and viewable on our website: www.ccef.org/conference18.
