Many people have asked me how CCEF is “doing”.
The ministry?… things are going well.
Our new website is drawing several thousand people each week to take advantage of its many resources. Churches continue to seek help from CCEF to equip them to pastor and counsel their people. A number of books, booklets and small group materials are being written by our faculty. Our student enrollment is good and counseling hours are up. Registrations for our National Conference are strong to date. Thankfully, some of these ministries generate income, covering about 60% of CCEF’s costs.
The financial picture?…improving—but we have a way to go.
The economic downturn has seriously impacted donations. In response, we have chosen not to replace five employees who were transitioning out of CCEF over the last year, and we reduced our expenses by over $250,000.
Yet, we still need to raise about 40% of our operating expenses through donations. Our “1500 Donors” campaign brought growth in the number of people contributing to CCEF, but even with the increase in monthly donors, overall giving is down significantly from last year. We need $400,000 to reach our goal of 1 million dollars by the end of August.
Since you are reading this, I assume you have come to our website to see what resources are here to help you in your ministry. If 1,000 visitors like you, a fraction of those who view our site each week, give $100 each—we would be $100,000 closer to our goal. Would you take the time— right now—to make a donation? Our fiscal year ends on August 31 and its fast approaching. Will you help us end the year on a positive note? Your contribution will encourage us greatly and keep our ministry, including this website strong. Please click the button below to donate.
Thank you.
