Who Takes Online Courses?
Our students join our Online classroom from all over the world. Our students have a vast spectrum of experiences. They are youth workers, small group leaders, pastors, medical doctors, home-school parents, lay people who want to be better equipped to help friends, those who will go on to be professional counselors, and many others. Our classes are designed for anyone who wants to grow in biblical wisdom, learning to see life as God sees it and change as God does it.
Until 2006, students had to relocate to Philadelphia, PA to participate in CCEF courses. Now the classroom is anywhere there is an internet connection! Online courses offer great flexibility, as you are able to work lectures and assignments into your schedule. While there are certain deadlines in each course, there is great flexibility in how you structure your classroom hours.
What Can I Do with a CCEF Education?
Courses at this campus may be taken individually, toward CCEF certificates, or combined with partner seminaries toward a master’s degree. These courses and certificates are designed to help you minister more effectively regardless of your professional goals or current occupation. Some of our students have gone on to be full-time professional counselors. Many other students have taken these courses to prepare for church ministry and other professions. No matter your calling, CCEF courses can help you grow in effectiveness in your ministry.
What Is the Online Campus?
Courses on our Online campus are taught by CCEF Faculty anywhere you have an internet connection. Experience CCEF courses on video (limited courses) and in audio through the new SBC Online, which brings all your course materials and activities together into one central website. Watch or listen to lectures, access readings, submit assignments and engage with other students in an interactive community board. Students are given access to the online classroom two weeks prior to the official start date of the term.
Combine CCEF Courses with a Seminary Degree
CCEF partners with seminaries across the world. CCEF courses can contribute toward degrees at these seminaries. Each seminary administers CCEF course credits differently. You may wish to contact a school official for specifics on their transfer policies.
