Counselors

Alasdair Groves is the Director of Counseling at CCEF New England and is an adjunct faculty member at CCEF.  He received his Master of Divinity in counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. Alasdair has also served as a pastoral counselor at Westerly Road Church in Princeton, and prior to seminary was a campus minister with the Navigators Christian Fellowship at Dartmouth College. He has a passion to foster genuine relationships in the local church, especially through counseling and counseling training. Alasdair and his wife, Lauren, have two young daughters. Robyn Huck completed all three levels of the CCEF training program. Prior to joining CCEF New England, Robyn served for six years as a church-based counselor to individuals and families from the Upper Valley and beyond. Robyn is a regular Bible study leader and has spoken at various women’s events. She has a passion for teaching the Bible to women and watching the lights go on to what God is doing in us and through us. Robyn and her husband Karl are parents to three grown children and have two daughters-in-law. They enjoy dancing, tandem bicycling, traveling, the outdoors, and time with their family. Lauren Groves manages the office at CCEF New England. Lauren has completed Levels I and II of the CCEF counseling certificate program. Lauren has experience in legal document review, contract servicing, executive administration and campus ministry.  In addition to her part time work for CCEF New England, Lauren is a full time mom to two young girls.  She enjoys reading, sports, connecting with friends, anything outdoors, and turning neat ideas into realities.

Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm.

Evening and early morning appointments are available by request.

Other Services

Speaking: Our counselors are available to speak at your church or ministry on a variety of counseling topics. Formats range from short seminars to weekend retreats. Please contact our office for details.

Consulting: Our counselors consult with New England pastors on their own counseling situations. (Consulting is free of charge and available as schedule permits.)

Fees and Insurance

Our counseling fee is $75 per hour for daytime appointments, and $85 per hour for evening and early morning appointments.

All counseling charges are due before each appointment. We accept cash (exact amount appreciated), personal checks, and major credit cards.

In today’s health insurance climate, insurers are increasingly reluctant to pay for an out-of-network provider. It is important for you to understand what your policy covers. If you have coverage, we are glad to help you submit the proper information to your carrier. However, you will be expected to make full payment at the time of your session and have your insurance company reimburse you. Thanks for your understanding.

For those whose insurance does not cover biblical counseling, some reduced rates are available. Please contact our office for details.

On the rare occasion that  the CCEF New England office closes due to weather, we will call all counselees scheduled for that day.  Should you ever decide to cancel your session due to weather, we simply ask that you call to let us know.  No cancellation fee will be charged.
